The Big Dance Pledge returns: 16 May 2014

Resources available from 14 January 2014

Learn the dance
Or make your own
Then perform

The Big Dance Pledge is a chance to learn, make and perform dance with the rest of the world.

This special 5th edition is created by Scottish Ballet with fun and celebration at its heart, as part of the Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme of the XX Commonwealth Games.

Available from 14 January 2014, the free online films show you the dance and how to learn it, or give you the starting point to make your own version. Get a group of friends, classmates or work colleagues together to have great fun and put your dancing on the map!

Perform as part simultaneous performances on 16 May 2014 from wherever you are to be part of a unique wave of dancing across the world.

The Big Dance Pledge has been an annual part of Big Dance since 2009, led by the Greater London Authority and nationally by Foundation for Community Dance with a network of hub organisations across the UK. Big Dance Week is back from 5-13 July 2014. Find out more at www.bigdance.org.uk.
